How To Register for Taglit – Birthright Israel

Registration Steps

  1. Complete Your Primary Application:

    On registration day click “Register Now” on our homepage or click here. This will take you to IsraelExperts’ page on Taglit-Birthright Israel’s website. Click “Register with this Trip Organizer” and you will be redirected to the 8 section application:

    • Section 1 – General Info

      *If you do not have your passport handy when you register, you can add passport information later on

    • Section 2 – Trip Specifications
*Here you will select IsraelExperts as your Trip Organizer

*You will also select your desired trip: Discover Israel, Campus Connection, Community, Culinary, Other

*If you receive a referral code enter it here

  • Section 3 – Jewish Background
  • Section 4 – Prior Israel Experience
  • Section 5 – Essay
  • Section 6 – Trip Waiver
  • Section 7- Pay Your Fully Refundable Deposit

    *You will need to pay a $10 non-refundable waiver fee

  • Section 8 – Confirm Your Email
  1. Complete Your Secondary Application:

    Within 24-48 hours after you complete your primary application you will receive an email from IsraelExperts. This email will contain login instructions to complete your secondary application in the InfoCenter.

    Here you will need to follow these steps to complete the application process:

    *Select the particular trip you want and during what month you want to travel

    *Provide medical information

    *Note your friend and/or family requests

    *Upload passport (See step #2)

  2. Upload Your Passport:

    Follow the instructions on the InfoCenter: photograph or scan the front page of your passport, save a legible copy (under 1 MB) and upload it to your InfoCenter profile.

    Make sure:

    *Your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your desired departure date from Israel

    *Your personal information on the Taglit-Birthright Israel account exactly matches information on your passport (passport #, full name, DOB)

  3. Complete an Interview

    *You will receive information on scheduling an interview to determine your eligibility for the trip. Interviews are conducted by phone and typically last 15-20 minutes. Following your interview, you may be required to submit additional documentation to support your application. *Please note that the timing of your interview will not affect your assignment status.
