Capital To Capital Trip

This program is specifically designed for Jewish political activists – young Jewish adults who are significantly involved in the American political process. The program creates a nexus between the participants’ political and Jewish identities by fusing their experience in American politics with their first formal experience with the Jewish State. Through meetings with key figures in Israel– from politicians and military experts, to journalists, academics and student leaders – participants will gain a better understanding of the chain of historical events that have shaped the Jewish State, the complexity of the challenges facing Israel today, and the future of the U.S.-Israel relationship.

Participants will:

• Receive briefings from top academics, policy makers and AIPAC’s Jerusalem staff
• Visit the Reut Institute in Tel Aviv
• See the Old City, the Knesset and everything in between that make Jerusalem one of the most extraordinary places on Earth
• Explore tangible affects of the U.S.-Israel relationship
• Learn about security issues and tour the security fence
• Palestinian affairs
• Be amazed by the beaches, nightlife, culture and history of Tel Aviv
• Hike through a spectacular desert canyon and up the lush green hillsides of the Galilee
• Float in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth
• Pluralistic approach to what you’ll see and experience
• Learn from experienced tour educators and top quality informal educators and facilitators
