All of our tour-educators are accredited by the Ministry of Tourism and are experts in Israeli culture, history and geography in addition to receiving additional education in pedagogical methods.

Lior L.

Lior Laufer originally decided to become a tour guide in order to share with others his love of Israel, traveling and to meet interesting people. In between guiding groups around Israel, Lior is a student at Ben Gurion University of the Negev studying Middle East Studies and Arabic. Lior was born in Nahariya and currently resides in Be’er Sheva.

Yael Karrie was born and raised in Haifa surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Carmel. She served as a tour guide in the army and has been guiding tours since that time. Along with traveling for 9 months in India, Yael studied photography and art for 3 years in Jerusalem, studied Jewish Studies and Religion at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is attending Rabbinical School at Hebrew Union College.

Amir Y.

Married with 4 lovely kids and 2 dogs. For the last 17 years has been working as a tour guide and owns his own company specializing in outdoor activities.   During that time I worked mostly with guiding tourist groups from various countries and religions and denominations, especially Jewish, Evangelists, Protestants, etc. my military was in the Combat Army Engineering Corps – 3 years and he is still a proud reservist. Amir holds a B.A in Geography of Israel from 'Bar Ilan University and his hobbies include : Rappelling (Senior Guide ), Kayak instructor,  Krav Maga (coach), hiking, skydiving, Scuba diving, and oh yea he volunteers in two rescue units

Erad Omer studied History and Geography at Tel Aviv University for his B.A. and is currently pursuing his masters in the Land of Israel Studies program at Haifa University. Erad has guided groups in Israel, the Sinai in Egypt and all over Jordan. Erad has a passion for traveling but especially loves Hiking in Israel. Originally from the Galilee, he currently lives in Tel Aviv.

Tzach E.

Lives in a small village just out side of Jerusalem. Tzach has been working as a tour guide and in education for the past several years, and today he also works as a group facilitator. After his army service as an officer in an infantry unit he went traveling in south East Asia for a year.  “I loves hiking and history, that is why I studied history and archeology and became a licensed tour guide. And most importantly, I loves Israel and what I'm doing”, According to Tzach the best part of his job is meeting new people from all over the world and bringing them together.

Shachar P.

Shachar Peleg lives on a mountain in the Galilee. Married to Lee and father of two beautiful daughters Ma'ayan and Stav. Shachar decided to be a tour guide out of obsession. Obsession to the land of Israel and all that surrounds it. He loves nature and hardcore trekking, especially in the desert, the most beautiful place in Israel (according to Shachar).

Neitsan S.

Born and raised in Israel in a small town in the Galilee, and now living in Tel Aviv with her husband Shaya. After her army service in the IDF as an infantry instructor, Neitsan spent a year traveling in South American and the US, where she caught the "travel bug". Since then she had been in the Far East, Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America. In The past 5 years Neitsan is a tour guide and loves every single moment of it! “It is the perfect job, combining my love and passion for this amazing and incredibly interesting country, and the fun of meeting people from all over the world!”.

Oren F.

Oren Fuchs is father to Yarden and Nava. Lives in Snir, a Kibbutz in Israel’s north. “I am one of those happy few who love what they do and go to bed with a smile” Oren likes to tell about himself. He loves to meet visitors with the land through hikes, to show them his view of Zionism through heritage sites, biblical stories in all part of the country and with Israelis in all their shapes and colors.

Born in northern Israel in Kibbutz Maagan Michael.at the age of 13, Yoav moved to Jerusalem with his family. Yoav served in the IDF for four years in the Tank Brigade as a tank commanding officer. And after the army he graduated from the Hebrew University with a B.A. in International Relations, and Middle Eastern studies and, MA in Contemporary Middle East Studies.” My major interest in Israel today is Israel’s history, the dynamic politics, economy, geopolitics and the Jewish connection to this land”.

Avigail K.
Avigail Kuperman grew up on the shore of Israel in Haifa, bloomed in the wilderness of the desert for a few years and is now feeling holy in Jerusalem. Avigail traveled to South America and Europe, and has plans to explore the rest of the world soon. She LOVES food! So she bakes and cooks a lot (!) and tries to lead as many foodie tours as possible. Avigail chose to become a tour guide because of her love to Israel, and she is still amazed to learn something new every day. As she puts it, ”Birthright trips are the soul of this job, it's not only guiding- it's education, it's a challenge, and it's different every time with each new group”
Itay R.

Grew up in the beautiful scenery of northern Israel, Itay fell in love with traveling and hiking around the country from a very early age. After finishing  the military service, traveling around the world for a few years and graduating the Israel’s tour guide course and a degree in Israel's history and geography, Itay is now guiding birthright groups around Israel and is very exited to take part in this amazing project.

Shai Goren Grew up in Jerusalem, spent 3 years in Tel Aviv & Yaffo and today lives in the Galilee. Loves hiking, hiked Israel's national trail with Anat Groysman (another one of our excellent tour guides), traveled to south and North America, southern Spain, Egypt, Jordan and the Far East. Shai chose to be a tour guide because he loves nature and loves meeting new people and according to him, tour guiding is where he’s two loves meet. Personal message: always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn - than always be a unicorn

Zvi G.

Zvi Geva grew up in Rehovot, Israel, and studied in the Sde Boker Environmental High School in the Negev. He then served as a Merkava Tank Commander in the IDF.
Zvi holds a BA in Business and Communications from the Tel-Aviv College of Management, and a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from the Baltimore Hebrew University, where he received the Eugene Silberman Award in Israeli and Middle Eastern Studies. Zvi lives in Beit Hashmonai, with his wife and three sons and two dogs.

Amittai Weinberger wanted to be a tour guide for a long time, but it took him a while to figure it out. He first had to travel around Israel as a teenager and fall in love with its natural beauty and complex history. Then, after his IDF service, he traveled the world and met people from around the globe and explored different ways of lives and Ideas. Connecting both passions came naturally. Amittai now enjoys seeing the same places he already knows through the eyes of visitors he works with.

Dafna Koren Cohen, A Tour Guide in the past 5 years, in love with Israel since forever, and believe that with all the problems, it is a very exciting country with a great future ahead. Loves meeting new people, share ideas and thoughts together. Born and raised here, now living in Rehovot, married to Ido, served as an infantry instructor in the IDF. Dafna is an M.A student for Jewish History. Loves dancing, hiking and cooking! Traveled to India, Brazil, U.S, and different places in Europe.

Noam Wilner is married to Tal and a proud father to Tamar. He has been involved many years in youth movement activities as an educator. Graduated psychology studies from the University of Amsterdam and then moved back to Israel, became a tour guide in Israel & Eastern Europe. Loves traveling Israel, educating about the country and sharing his knowledge and passion. As Noam puts it “I always find it interesting to get to know my participants as well as learn from them!”

David was born and raised in London, moved to Israel in 2008 and trained as a tour guide. He has a background in informal Jewish education and works as a guide, educator and lecturer for young Jews from around the world throughout the year. live in Tel Aviv, and loves to explore the city and the rest of Israel in whatever free time he has, which is never much.
